Wow! It has been a super long time since I last updated! So much has been going on...so this post is going to be an update on our lives!
a. Chloe graduated from preschool. I need to get the pictures from my moms camera so that I can post some! She wore a real cap and gown and sang songs along with signing the words. She said she wanted to be a nurse when she grows up! I have never heard her say that! So mom...please e-mail me some pics!
b. I had the privilage to take Binghams Dance Studio's recital pictures. This was a huge job! It took three full nights of taking pictures and a couple weeks of editing. I handed them over to the studio owner yesterday and felt so proud! 102 orders...done!!! Now I get to treat myself to a night of Barnes and Nobles and a book I have been wanting to read for a long time!!
c. School ended!! We love summer around here! I can't wait for the day that I am a stay at home mom. I love teaching, but love being home more than that! It is so fun to wake up with my girls...not to mention getting to finish laundry, clean my house, and cook dinner...all without feeling rushed or stressed!!
d. speaking of summer...we just got home from a fantastic trip to Great Wolf Lodge and New Braunfels! I do have pictures of that...so my next post..is going to be of our vacation!!
e. swimming, swimming, and more swimming!!
f. As i sit here and right this, I am feeling baby number three move inside my belly! We found out on June 4th that we are having a...BOY! I will post a sono picture of his sweet face soon...he is going to be a handsome little guy! If he is anything like his daddy...there is someone amazing growing in my belly right now!
It has been so fun looking at boy things...such a new world for me!

thats about all...I am taking photos this summer! Pass my name along please and visit my new blog!

Some chloe-isms

So, it has been a while. I have tons to post on, including the fact that Chloe graduated from preschool. I think that I have been subconsiously putting that one off because I would then have to actually admit to the fact that she is a kindergartener. I need to get the graduation pics on my computer before I post them, so how about a few cute Chloe-isms!

Chloe (whispering during church): "Mommy (holding her neck), my neck is cranky"

Chloe: (while watching So you Think you Can Dance): "AAA...he's dancing without a shirt on...how embarrasing!!"

Chloe: (while overhearing a conversation between curt and I about Chloe learning to read) "Hey, I saw a commercial about learning to read early and you have to hear the word AND see the word"...she was so serious!

Chloe: (everynight before she goes to bed): "Daddy, can you show me the radar"
Curt: why chloe?
Chloe: "so I can know if it is going to rain"
Curt: (showing her the radar): "See Chloe its not going to rain tonight, but there is a chance tomorrow"
Chloe: "is it the kind of rain that makes you have to get away from windows?"
Curt: "no chloe...just rain"

Chloe (talking to people we can't see): "That's it Katie...you are extended and you need to go to the office for intention"...

Chloe (after my mom took Trinity home from church because she fell and bumped her head pretty good and busted her lip): "Aww Momma, Trinity looked so pretty, and had to go home"....

Me: Chloe what do you think the baby is, a boy or a girl?
Chloe: "its a boy"
Me: "Well, it may be a girl, how do you know its a boy"
Chloe: "Because I prayed for a brother"...

Trinity does the laundry!

A few notes on the video:
1. I do not make her do this, she enjoys it!
2. I posted this video so that someday when she says "I do all the laundry around here"...we can show her that she once loved to do laundry!
3. I realize that my laundry room is a scary place!...why do you think I don't go in there? ha!
4. If you saw underwear in the laundry room...I apologize
5. I would not let Chloe in the video because she was running around the house in her panties!
6. I know I sound dorky on video...
7. The "thing" on the floor by the laundry room is not a mouse...it is a doll...i say this because it scared me!
8. Yes, Trinity is wearing a winter dress in the middle of May...its freakishly cold outstide!
9. How cute is she????

looking back...

This is Trinity a year ago. Look how peaceful she is! Seems like these days, this is what I dream of doing! Its crazy looking back at pictures from last May. She was so tiny. In my May 2009 album there are pictures of her trying new foods, sleeping in a bouncer, laying on the floor, and getting in the pool for the first time! It has been a precious year. I look back at those pictures and I look at where she is now. She is an amazing person. She follows directions really well and doesn't like getting in trouble. She responds to the word No quickly! She will pick up toys all day! When we say "clean up" she immediately begins to throw everything in sight into the basket...come to think of it, I bet this is why we are missing so many pacifiers around here! We taught her where the laundry room is so now she will pick up random clothes and take them to the laundry room and throw them on the floor! The other night Curt had a clean basket of whites in the living room and he was putting clothes into the dryer...while he was doing that, she was emptying the clean clothes basket and taking it back to the laundry room! Such a funny girl! She (usually) touches her nose when we ask her where her nose is...she gives kisses...she loves hugs...she says "uh uh" instead of "uh oh"...she throws all her food on the floor when she is done eating, which is fine when our dog is around...but embarrassing at other places! She is a sweet soul and I love her so much!

So Trinity puts clothes in the laundry room because that is fun....and when Chloe is asked to take her clothes to the laundry room she usually says "I have to to ALL the laundry around here!".....
I guess thats the difference between a 5yo and a 1year old!!

Mothers Day Tea!

She showed me a small bouquet of flowers that she made me. The flowers are actually pens and she told me that she wanted me to keep them on my desk at work! I will be proud to display them on my desk! Then she handed me another present!

She made me a candle! It is the most beautiful candle I have ever seen! She used a baby food jar, layered colored sand in the bottom, then added a layer of wax and a wick to the top. I can't tell you how proud of this candle she is...and I am even more proud than that!

After we opened our presents, we said a prayer. Chloe put her head in my lap and said her prayer. I love her.
She went and got me a glass of lemonade, then we lined up to get our treats. The entire class helped make the blueberry muffins and iced sugar cookies. They were both very delicious! There was also a fruit tray!

I had so much fun with Chloe. I love to see how proud she is of her work, her school, and her mommy! I felt very special!

On a quick side note...I have a small letter to my Trinity-
Dear sweet Trinity...
Don't eat dirt honey...it's yucky!
Love, your mommy!

Do you believe in Miracles?

We do! We are so excited about the growth of our little family. I am 11 weeks along and could not be more happy. We find out on June 4th if we need to keep the nursery pink or paint it blue!
We thank God for this precious blessing!

RAnDy RoGerS BaND!!

So my brother is a drummer. He is a good drummer. He drums with a band of best friends. They travel the world, have a blast, play music, record records, make music videos, and get played on the radio! The Randy Rogers Band is getting bigger! They signed with Mercury record a while back and have had several successful music videos on CMT and GAC. It is pretty cool to see my brother on the TV and hear him on the radio. We are so very proud of him.
Here he is on the far left in the "82" shirt! This was at a photoshoot for the album cover of their last record. They have a new record coming out soon! We can't wait! You can check them out at http://www.randyrogersband.com
This is a special weekend for the Randy Rogers Band and Family. They are up for the Vocal Group of the YEAR award at the Academy of Country Music Awards airing this Sunday at 7! They are up against some pretty big bands...I can't wait to hear the acceptance speech!

They are also hosting a big party in Vegas tonight...How cool is that?

One of these years, I will get to go to the Awards show, but for now I am glad that my parents are there! Maybe I can take Chloe one year and let her get her hair done and put on a fancy dress...and watch Taylor Swift perform...aaah! A girl can dream right?

Congrats to the Randy Rogers Band...y'all tune in!

More?

I have always wanted my kids to know sign language. I think it would be so cool for my kids to know that language...especially as babies, so they could communicate with me better. Chloe knew one sign. That was the sign for "more". When she wanted more bites...or if she was hungry...or if we had a bowl of ice cream and she wanted another taste, she would sign "more" to us...and always would get her way! How can you deny such intelligence? Well, Trinity has also learned more. It is so cute to see...and I love that she can tell me something with her hands!

My Aunt gayle, and cousins Kara and Megan are fluent in sign language...I wish I were...I keep telling Aunt Gayle that if she moved to Midland and taught classes for kids, the classes would fill up quick!

Easter 2010

          Up from the grave he arose;
 with a mighty triumph o'er his foes;
he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Pretty Easter Eggs!

I must admit, I did not intend on dying Easter eggs this year. But, changed my mind on a whim! While I bathed the kiddos, Curt went to the store and got some eggs and a dye kit! I was glad that we did. This, to me, makes up for not putting any Easter decor up in my house this year...unless you count the cute Easter sign out in the front yard...that I will totally forget to take down until July 4th as we are walking in from looking for fireworks in the sky! I still have the valentines window clings on the back door...and Christmas lights above the cabinets in the kitchen...although those are pretty cute and ad a nice lighting in the evenings! I left them intentionally, but I am starting to re-think my decision after this post!
Anyway, we dyed Easter eggs tonight! We look forward to tomorrow where we will go to church and celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!

Best Friends

This morning at 7:15, I awoke to a sweet voice. Now, that early in the morning, it doesn't seem so sweet...but it is! Chloe was very close to my face "whispering"! She asked if her best friend, Adison, could come over and play! I explained to her that I would text her mommy later, but it was way to early and that normal people are not awake yet at 7:15 on a Saturday...okay so that last part is not true...but I was thinking it! To make this boring story short I texted Adison's mom, Adison came over and all was well with the world! Well, atleast at our house it was! We love to have Adison over. They play so well together. Today they jumped on the trampoline, drank juice, played in the dirt, played a little soccer, colored, drank more juice, and then played dress-up! They came out looking so cute...so of course, I grabbed my camera and went out for a mini "best friend" photo shoot. Here are some of the pics I took today!
*disclaimer- Chloe's cheerleader outfit is way to small...I realize this!

15 month well check!

Trinity had her 15 month appointment yesterday. It was less than fun. I really don't enjoy doctor offices or my baby having to get shots...but I do enjoy getting to see Jennifer! She is the nurse practitioner at Dr. Nabulsi's office...but most importantly a dear friend. Jennifer and I were great friends in high school. I remember a summer when we spent almost every night together rotating houses! So much fun! I have so many fun memories with her! Thanks for being a good friend...and thanks for loving my girls so much and caring for them as their doctor!
Quick Chloe-ism:
Chloe's friend: I go to dr. MacFarren....
Chloe: Well, I go to dr. MacJennifer!!

back to the appointment....Trinity is in the 50th percentile for height and weight. Her head was in the 90th but Jennifer thought that might be wrong...her head doesn't seem unproportional to me!! We waited in the office for about 2 hours....which can be a challenge with Trinity. We did whatever we could to entertain her and keep her happy. Here are some of the many activities that she enjoyed while in there...before she lost her mind of course!!

enjoying apple juice!
Then she got shots...got dressed...and got out!! She ran a fever today, but hopefully all will be well tomorrow!

I am so thankful for my healthy 15 month old!!

GOAL!!

Chloe had her first soccer game on Saturday. Besides the cold air and wind...it was a beautiful morning. I must admit...I really don't enjoy most sporting events at all. But...having a child play in one...changes everything! I did not know that I would be yelling, cheering, standing...so much! I surprised myself! I could not be more proud of her! She scored two goals! Now, the first goal was in the wrong net...but she didn't care! She was happy and so were we! The next goal she made was in the correct net and she was so excited! She was aggressive and stayed right with the ball...it was pretty fun to watch! Go pixies!! By the way...I mentioned that the colors were pink and black...well, when we got the jerseys on Friday...they were more orange than pink! The girls didn't complain...and hey, who can make "traffic cone orange" look better than these cute girls?

Have I mentioned before...

That I am officially a soccer mom!

Chloe had her first soccer practice last night! She is on the "Pixie" team and much to her excitement, they are PINK and BLACK!! Chloe has been asking about her colors since I registered her!

The practice went pretty well! The girls have never played before! You could see some confusion in their minds...but they were oh so cute! Chloe knew most of the girls on her team already! They learned that they can't touch the ball with their hands unless it goes out of bounds...they can knee it, bop it with their heads, or kick it! The girls then had to play "mini-game"...it turned out a mess! They really didn't know what to do..and felt bad taking the ball from another girl!

My friend Emily said that the hardest thing about soccer is the fact that they have to steal the ball when all they have been taught since birth is sharing! After yesterday, I agree!

I loved watching Chloe interact with her coach. She was raising her hand, answering questions, and asking permission! I was a proud momma...as usual! Her first game is Saturday at 9am...yes people...I will be up before 9am this Saturday!
Go Pixies!!!

ICE ICE BABY!

On Thursday night, Chloe watched a movie on Disney called "Ice Princess". She was convinced after watching it, that she would be an amazing ice skater. She told us that she would twirl and jump if she got to go ice skating! Curt told her that he would take her Friday night! She was so excited!

On Friday afternoon, we met Curt at his office in Odessa. We headed to Fuddruckers (yum!) at the mall and then headed toward the skating rink!

Curt and chloe got their skates on and headed to the ice! Trinity and I watched from the sidelines! I must say, I giggled alot! I was a hoot to watch Chloe start to fall, and then curt lift her into the air and set her back down on the ice...so sweet!

Chloe started to get the hang of it towards the end, and I was really proud of her. Curt let go of her a few times and she did pretty good! Although, I highly doubt that the olympics are in our future!!

our "stay"cation!

Wednesday was the busiest day of Spring Break! I had something very fun planned for Chloe with our good friends Emily and Dax! The day before, our neighbors, who sadly moved away, called and let me know they were in town. Suddenly our day turned even busier!!

On Wednesday morning, we went to the children's museum to see the sweet girls who used to live next door. Chloe was so excited to see Maddie and Abigail. They played so great together...while Emily and I sat on the bench and "Caught up". Chloe loves going to the museum...the grocery store is her favorite part.

We left the museum and headed for some grub! Chloe thought it was so cool that she played in the pretend burger king at the museum and then we went to the real one! Oh, the small pleasures of life!

We went to Mimi's to eat and see Trinity for a few minutes...then we were off to our second adventure of the day! Emily and I reserved a room at the MCM fundome in Odessa. They have an indoor pool, playground, and putt-putt! When you are five...this is a great stay-cation!

We got there and headed straight to the pool. It was pretty crowded, but Dax and Chloe didn't seem to mind. They swam and played. Both of them impressed us with their jumping and swimming skills! You could see the joy in their smiles! They swam for about 3 hours then we went to the room and bathed them! We let them put their pajamas on for dinner! They thought that was great fun! We went to play putt-putt and then we headed to the restaurant! The kids ate thier kids meals...and Emily and I split dinner!

We had the vegetable plate...which consisted of okra, onions, zuchini, and mushrooms....all FRIED! So yummy!

It was a good time!

Spring Break...so far!

So it is spring break! We really haven't done anything exciting so far! The weather has been a little sad for spring break! On Monday Chloe and Adison went to swim camp at COM. They got to do gymnastics, jump of the diving boards, slide, rope swing, swim, eat a snack, and swim some more. Chloe was so happy when I picked her up! I was glad to see her happy! I picked up the girls and took them to McDonald's for a happy meal, went to mimi's house to eat it, and then took Adison home. It was a fun day for Chloe!
Today was a little blah! We ventured out for a little bit, but that was short lived...and I still have not found the perfect pair of sunglasses to wear to Puerto Vallarta!!
Tomorrow we will meet some friends at the Children's Museum...and then the highlight of Chloe's week! My friend Emily and I rented a room at a hotel here that has an indoor pool. The kids are going to swim until they can't swim anymore! We will eat dinner there....swim some more...then head home at night. We decided that we didn't really want to sleep in the hotel!! I hope she really enjoys herself...I think she will! She loves water!
Oh! And I have some photo shoots this week too! I am so excited!

Bingham Dance Groundbreaking!

I was so honored to be asked to photograph the Bingham Dance groundbreaking event! It was a little chilly, windy, and dirty...but the girls were so cute and brightly dressed! It was so fun to see where the new site for "Talent Station" will be!
