I don't know...

Would you say she is a happy baby?...

I would!

Shutterbug!

Thats right...I have the shutter bug! I have been playing around with photography lately, and I absolutely love it! All I think about is where a good place would be to take pics...outfits...who I would love to photograph...who I can recruit to let me practice on! I think about how much I can't wait until my neice gets here so that I can photograph her! I am very much like my dad...We have a one track mind! If we find an interest, we pursue it...whole-heartedly!I am just craving to learn more about my camera and photo editing. So...if you read this blog...and would let me photograph your family...please let me know! please! This week, my family was in town for the holidays. I was privelaged to take pictures of Mason and Mackenzie! I am proud of the photos I was able to take...but more proud that these precious kids are a part of my life. They are precious kids! Thanks Kara...for letting me practice on your children!

Thanksmas 2009

Thanksmas has been fun this year. Our houses have been full...and so have our bellies! On Thanksgiving we shared a meal of smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, broccoli cheese rice, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, fruit salad...and other delightful dishes! As usual, it was delicious!
We cleaned up the kitchen and listened to the children ask over and over when we get to open presents, and by children I mean anyone under 50! We read our annual Christmas poem. I am not sure how that tradition began, but we all know Christmas wouldn't be the same if I didn't write a poem containing each family member and their endeavors of the past year!

So here we are, Thanksmas 2009
We have so much to be thankful for
isn’t life divine?!

When I think of this year...so much took place
we welcomed two babies...
MacKenzie Gayle and Trinity Grace!

Chloe, Mason, and Maddie are growing up so fast
its hard to remember they were tiny babies in the past!
Mason is almost three and so is maddie-moo
Chloe just turned five...I can’t believe it, can you?

Les and Amanda are doing great...
wish they were here, we really miss ‘em
Les just finished recording a new album
can’t wait to give it a listen!

Curtis and Kristi have a house of their own
She’s teaching, he’s engineering
just raising two girls in their home!

Kara and Cody what can I say
they have another baby on the way!
What a blessing...we are all waitin’
for thanksmas next year, when we meet Payton!

Melissa got a great new job that she loves
She has such a gift to do what she does!
Her clients are blessed and co-workers too
Congrats on your job Melissa, we are happy for you

Megan has been traveling so so much
florida, disney world, a cruise and such!
an avid Hanson and Twilight fan is she
Next time you go on a fun trip...take ME!!!

Gayle and Greg have had fun too...
Greg got his animals back...his room looks like a zoo!
They traveled here and there as well
dallas, vegas, branson, and scottsdale!

Debbie and Jerry drove to cali...in a car
next time guys...take a plane...that trip is far!!!
the pictures of yall at the wedding were great
so pretty! And Uncle Jerry...you had a HOT date!!

Rita and Bill have had a rough year
Rita got sick and we all filled with fear
But God is our comfort and she lives to tell her story
its a miracle he gave us...to God be the glory.

Our family is fun...its growing and growing
when I think of all we have, my cup is overflowing
so...happy thanksmas yall! How much fun it will be!
Now lets open our presents....Hey, Didn’t I see this on TV?!

The last line had to do with the game we played in lieu of buying gifts for everyone. We all brought an "as seen on TV" gift, drew numbers, opened one and had to demonstrate how to use it! It brought many laughs to the living room! Gifts this year included:
Jupiter Jack
Pasta and More
Egg Genie
Smooth Away
Snuggie
Windshield Wonder
micro-Smores
Topsy Turvey
Touch and Brush
The demonstrations were hillarious! Family memories were for sure created!

On their way.....

Our family is on the way to Midland! We are having Thanksmas this year. That is thanksgiving and Christmas combined. Our family is growing by leaps and bounds, and traveling is getting harder. We decided to have the festivities all at once! So, we get Christmas early! We love getting together with our family for various reasons.
*We are funny people!
*the annual christmas poem!
*the snack table in the dining room is full of fudge, cookies, and trash!
*lots of kiddos!
*thanksgiving dinner!
*Early morning Friday shopping! (i didn't go last year!)
*Being around people that I can completely be myself around...they "get" me!
*and our first annual "as seen on TV game"!
When mom was sick she was up all hours of the night! One morning she told us about watching the infomercial for the Magic Bullet. She told us all about what it could do! It was pretty funny. This as also the time when snuggies were very popular. We thought it was so funny! Mom came up with the idea that we would all buy a "As seen on TV" item and play a gift giving game. When it is all said and done, we have to demonstrate our new item! Did i mention that our family is fun? Well, we are!
So, JoJo, Roro, Debbie, Jerry, Melissa, Gayle, Greg, Megan, Kara, Cody, Mason, MacKenzie...WE are happy you are coming!
PS! I told Chloe all the names of everyone who was coming and she said "wow! I wonder how we know ALL those people!"..ha! She cracks me up!
