A musician?
A mommy?
Whatever she decides to be, I am pretty sure she will be wearing glasses!

This is why...
This is one reason that I show up to my job everyday....
The kids I teach amaze me everyday...I love to watch them learn, grow, and develop. My co-workers are amazing, funny, and intelligent friends of mine. I am very blessed in my career!
Isn't this picture sweet? We were playing "Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader?" in class today and this student of ours decided to wrap his arms around the legs of Ms. Hahn. So Sweet!
Thanks Amy for snapping this pic with your iphone!

Muffins with Mom!
Chloe's school had Muffins with Mom today! I took her to my school with me until 9:15, then we headed to her school to have a muffin! We sat at a table, ate our blueberry muffin, and chatted! It was special time. I then, took her to class, where I heard from her teacher that she wishes there were "more chloe's" in her class! What a blessing to hear those words! I look forward to many more mommy-daughter activities with her!

How I met him
I really don't know exactly who reads my blog...I do know that my mom does (Shout out to mom!) and I know that my mother in law does (Shout out to Robbie!). They have to keep up with the grandgirls somehow!!
They already know how Curt and I met...but maybe some of you don't! So here goes...in bullet form...
*Mom was out of town taking care of her mother
*Dad was in Africa working
*I was staying with Lindsay...
*Lindsay liked Curt!..I thought she was crazy!
*Lindsay and I would go out to eat at Olive Garden to watch him bus tables...
*I told her that I didn't see what she saw in him...
*It snowed...Curt called.
*we "needed" oil to make brownies and asked him to bring us some.
*He slid over!
*We flirted
*I saw what she saw
*we went to Rosas for dinner that night...
*we flirted
*Curt and I helped Lindsays sister with her homework while Lindsay talked on the phone to another love interest.
*Curt gave me his necklace...
*we were inseparable.
*The End...
Well...not the end...
Now all together...
AAWWWWWWWWWWW!

Science Experience!
Tonight Chloe told me that she can't wait to be in my class because she wants to do a lot of "science experience!"
So, I thought it would be fun to list the top six things about Chloe that would send the message that her mommy is a science teacher!
6. She made a 1oo on her solids and liquids worksheet at school.
5. She cries because all she want to do is a "science experience", which usually consists of mixing a lot of nasty things together in a cup!
4. She walks around the house singing "Shine like a light"...a song I wrote for my class about reflection and refraction!
3. She has had tons of fun with dry ice in the backyard!
2. She has grown a lima bean in a bag in our kitchen!
1. She can tell you all of the steps to the water cycle...in song form...but she calls condensation, "Conversation"!
Yep! I have to say that I am proud...I hope she finds the joy in science that I do. I find myself completely marveled at the perfection of our Earth that God created and I love to teach about it!

looking Ahead!
Trinity doesn't speak in sentences....but if she did, I bet she would tell me that she can't wait to play in the pool at Mimi and Opa's this summer!
Chloe does speak in sentences, and she is already talking about playing in the water and planning her summer swimming party! Here are the details so far:
*You must wear a "belly swimsuit" to get in the water
*Adison's mom is bringing sandwiches
*Opa will suprise her with a slide!
*I am in charge of "lady drinks"
*Daddy is invited to get in the water and play with them!
Wow! I have some party planning to do...I better get on that!
Um, April, Chloe has you down for sandwiches! And, can someone please let me know what a five year old "lady drink" would consist of!

The Notebook
On Saturday night Curt and Was went to the movie. The girls were asleep and I got some "Kristi" time! I got comfy on the couch with a drink, laptop, blanket, and a remote in my hand! I turned it on a movie, and began to edit pictures. Editing pictures is a new hobby of mine that relaxes me! As I was looking at my pictures, I looked up at the TV...I was watching "The Notebook". I have seen this movie before, but it was different this time. I was watching this movie with different eyes.
After the movie was over, I started thinking to myself...
*I am married to the love of my life whom I met when I was only 16 years old.
*I want to grow old with him...and die in his arms.
*I want to spend every day of my life with him, always and no matter what.
*He is a gift from God. There is no doubt about that.
*He will be by my side during the good times, bad times, at our Girls weddings, when our grandkids are born, and anything else that crosses our paths.
I know this...but when I am reminded of this, it is a blessing. Sometimes we get so caught up in "life" and don't take the time to stop and THINK about what it is that we really have. I am thankful for Curt...and the babies that we share!

Matching PJ's!
I love matching Pajamas on my girls! In fact, I just plain love pajamas of any sort! My girls' drawers are nice and neat except for the pajama drawers...they are loaded! I just can't help but buy snuggley, soft, cute, comfy pajamas for them when I see them! When I got Trinity out of her bath tonight and put these pj's on her, Chloe immediately went to her room and put her matching ones on! So sweet! The pictures were in Trinity's room, on Chloe's bed! Did you get that? Yes, Chloe sleeps in Trinity's room every night! And that makes me smile!
Good night, sleep tight, in your cute, comfy, soft, snuggley jammies!

Time Flies...
Curt and I have gone from:
*Wanting a baby so badly...to
*Being blessed with a sweet baby...to
*giving birth to Trinity Grace...to
*swaddling and rocking her...to
*a WALKING, fun, personality filled little girl....
Does this make her officially a toddler?
Have I mentioned that she has attached herself to a sock at Susan's house? Well...its true! And I think its hilarious and adorable!

Her First Sight Word!
Chloe has her first sight word! She was given a book that uses the word "see" over and over! She has to read this book to me each night over and over and then take it to school for practice! She has the book memorized, but I am so excited for her to start recognizing words! Watching her learn to read just may be the coolest thing EVER! Since I am a teacher and can't help it, I decided to take it a step further...tonight I sat her down in front of the laptop and had her type the story. I showed her where the period is, the space key, and the enter key...she was able to type her story...just shy of one page! She got bored with it!
I think the only thing I dread about Chloe learning to read is not being able to spell things in front of her!

Warning...this may be random!
So Trinity has a new talent...we actually discovered it a while back, but I got some pictures of it tonight
There is just something about those little baby lips wrapped around a straw...and I know that every other baby knows how to do this...but I happen to think she is a genius for figuring out this concept!
please note...she had just eaten a strawberry nutrigrain bar...I hadn't cleaned her face yet!
This picture cracks me up...Chloe decided to go pout tonight so I decided to take a picture of her pouting...and she came out from the corner and did this....ha! She just can't help but smile when she sees a camera!
This picture cracks me up too...I feel that it gives me a small glimpse into my future with two girlies!
And...lastly...a letter to my sweet Trinity...
Dear Trin-trin,
I understand that it is pink...bright, pretty, sitting on the floor...perfectly at your reach...full of water that is so fun to play in...but please, please, please...LEAVE LUCY'S DOG BOWL ALONE!
oh! and I love you dearly!
love, mommy!
